
Margien Storm van Leeuwen joins QuinteQ as CCO and Timo Pauel joins QuinteQ as BD Manager
QuinteQ Energy, a Dutch flywheel manufacturer that brings to market the world’s most advanced flywheel technology based on superconductive crystal bearings, is scaling its team. As of June 1, 2021 Margien Storm van Leeuwen is joining QuinteQ to assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer. As a member of the Executive Management Team, she will be responsible for setting the course towards market success at a strategic and tactical level. Having a deep understanding of the market dynamics and mechanics, Margien will work closely with partners & clients to identify, qualify and nail down tangible business opportunities for QuinteQ and our flywheel offering. Margien has top line targets and growth responsibility in the company. In her role as commercial lead for the company, she will be heading and assuming the key-role in a newly formed and soon-to-be-launched venture in energystorage as-a-service.
Timo Pauel is also joining QuinteQ to take on the role of Business Development Manager. He will support the team with market analysis, insights and identifying relevant opportunities and developments and pursuing them. Timo will help prepare and deliver proposals and pitches and we expect him to grow into the role of account manager for several key-accounts. Timo will also be taking on an important role in our newly-formed and soon-to-be-launched energy storage as-a-service company but again, stay tuned for that!
With this expanded team, the next steps in the strategy of QuinteQ are being taken. QuinteQ was founded in 2016 by Paul Vosbeek. The company focuses on developing and producing the world’s most advanced flywheel technology based on technology developed by Boeing. The IP is licensed to QuinteQ under a worldwide exclusive license. This year the first systems will be produced in the Netherlands and to be tested & demonstrated the Ministry of Defense at Fieldlab Smartbase this fall.
QuinteQ is based in Nijmegen and San Francisco.
